Wedge Setup for Trucks Print Print

Wedges have traditionally been used to change the steering characteristics of Skateboards and are now used on Butt boards and Streetluges. I personally have never tried wedges on a streetluge. I have adjusted the steering characteristics by changing the truck placement. The only time I ever used wedges was in my skateboarding days when oak was the primary building material and trucks where less that adequate. With the advent of trucks such as Trackers and Gullwings the need for wedges went away. The key is to try several different set ups and get the best feel for you.

This image below shows you the correct setups for adjusting the streering characteristics of your trucks in a Positive and Negitive manner. Positive means more turn and Negitive means less turn.
